Prior to this season, Highland’s Brady Hahn was no stranger to postseason success.  He made it to state last year, and missed out on it by one point his sophomore year.  But this season, he made it back, taking sixth place overall.

Hahn breezed through both sectionals and districts to get himself to the state tournament.  Hahn was something of an underdog going in, having been unranked for the majority of the season.

Once there, he faced off against Southeast Warren’s Kaleb Bauer, who he pinned in 1:48.  Then he had to see fourth-ranked Blake Thomsen out of Underwood in the second round, but took the victory and advaced to the semifinals after Bauer was disqualified.  Hahn ended up having to face three more ranked wrestlers after that, losing to all three.  But his victories earlier in the tournament were enough to position him in the bracket well enough to capture sixth and take his place on the podium.

Hahn ends his senior year with a 36-6 overall record, and a medal to show for it.
