The Mid-Prairie School District is bringing in professionals to assess future enrollment trends. Mid-Prairie has hired RSP and Associates, a firm who does studies pertaining to enrollment. Superintendent Mark Schneider says he’s been in talks with the Clear Creek-Amana School District, who also hired RSP for an enrollment study, and the recommendation from them was “spot on.”

Schneider explains where they are in the process, “Right now we’re in the process of gathering all the enrollment information from the last five years. They will take that information and they have models that they use and they also, for the past five years, will actually physically map where our students have been coming from. Based on that, and based on what they know about new housing developments, they’ll be able to give us projections for the next five years.”

Schneider says the plan is to be able to present the information to the school board sometime this summer. Mid-Prairie saw a 17 student increase from last school year to this 2018/19 school year.
