The Washington boys’ basketball team had its best season in recent memory.  They earned the most wins for the program since the 2011-12 season, and won the program’s first playoff game since 2010.  As a result, four Demons were named to the Southeast Conference’s all-conference teams.

No Demons made the first team, but senior Cade Hennigan and junior Luke Turner were each named to the second team.  Hennigan was the team’s leading scorer with 10.7 points per game while also tying for the team lead in rebounds with 96.  He was also second in the Southeast Conference in total steals with 39.  Turner was the top assister on the team, ending with 74 on the season; a tie for second in the conference, just one shy of the lead.

Two Demons were also given honorable mentions.  Trevor Quigley got one for his performance throughout his junior year, having been the team’s leading scorer for a good chunk of the season and finishing top-ten in the conference in steals with 30.  Treshaun Willis was the other Demon honorable mention, tying for the team lead in rebounds and putting up 8.8 points per game, including a 22-point outing against Fort Madison.
