Congressman Dave Loebsack (D-Iowa) made a trio of stops in Iowa’s second district over the weekend. Loebsack was in Kalona, Wellman, and Sigourney as part of his Coffee with Your Congressman Tour. This was the first leg of the tour where the congressman visits with constituents in a casual setting to discuss concerns and answers questions. Loebsack says he enjoys getting to see how his constituents live first hand, “I like to meet people where they live, where they work, where they play. It’s really great because I get to visit places where average Iowans hangout and talk to one another about the issues. You know, when you’re in Washington D.C. you’re pretty far away from what’s really happening around here in Iowa.” Last year, Loebsack made 25 stops on his Coffee with Your Congressman Tour.
