Welcome To Riverside
It’s full steam ahead for a 71-lot housing development in Riverside. Monday the city council passed a resolution to voluntarily annex Rotelin Yeggy Farms LLC. The 30.5 acres of land resides north of city limits between Tulip Avenue and Tupelo Boulevard. The council also approved the rezoning of the land to be used for residential property, then waived the second and third readings. The preliminary plat, that shows a mixture of single-family and multi-family homes, was approved.
Phase one will include the construction of 14 lots, as well as adding infrastructure to the southeast corner of the subdivision. According to Mayor Allen Schneider, the infrastructure for phase one, which includes the street, water, and sewer, will cost between $450,000 and $500,000. Schneider says he hopes to see some homes pop up before the end of 2019.
