The Washington boys’ track team took to Central College this past Friday to compete in their indoor meet.

Several Demons went and participated, with the majority of the competitors going in more than one event.  A lot of guys ran the 60-meter dash, with Cade Hennigan, Lincoln Kleese, Jacob Miller and Spencer Sotelo winning their respective heats.  Two guys, Ethan Hunt and Mitchell Driscoll, placed top-ten in the 400.  Hunt took fourth on a 53.83-second time, while Driscoll came in close behind at sixth, finishing in 54.30 seconds.  Evan Horak was another .top-2o finisher, winning his heat and finishing at 20th overall in the 3200 with a time of 11:06.93.

The Demons also saw some success in field events.  Spencer Sotelo took fifth in the long jump, going 6.05 meters while Cade Pohren took 23rd with a distance of 5.60 meters.  Two high-jumpers, Wyatt Stout and Kasen Bailey, tied for 25th by clearing 5-4.00.

The Demon boys will have their first outdoor meet of the year this coming Thursday when they host the Steve Roth Relays.  Action at Case Field is set to begin at 3:30.
