Iowa Mennonite School head girls basketball coach Kari Heusinvkeld received recognition from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association this week.

Heusinkveld was honored as the winner of the E. Wayne Cooley “You Can” Award. This honor is presented annually to recognize character and leadership in the sport of basketball. Heusinkveld just finished her fourth year at the helm at IMS, posting a 10-11 overall record, the best the program has had in her tenure.
