Washington County Public Health is moving forward with a project that’ll add up to 10 new water fountains across Washington County. According to Public Health Administrator Danielle Pettit-Majewski, WCPH has teamed up with Kalona, Washington, Wellman and Washington County Conservation. The total cost of the project is estimated at $51,150. WCPH is submitting a WCRF grant request for $41,400 to cover a majority of the project that’ll also be aided by a grant provided by the Delta Dental Foundation.

The WCRF grant is designed to cover the cost of nine fountains while the Delta Dental Foundation will pay for one. Some of the proposed locations include Central Park in Washington, Kalona City Park, and Marr Park.
