The WACO boys’ track team opened up their season on Thursday, taking fourth in Class C at Washington’s Steve Roth Relays.
The Warriors were headlined by Colton Horak, who hurdled his way to first in both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles by almost a full second and nearly two seconds, respectively. He also competed in the 100-meter dash and long jump, taking fourth in both. The 4×100 relay team of Will Edeker, Drew Kissell, Jalen Collins and Elijah McGohan took first as well with a time of 47.99 seconds.
The Warriors’ next meet will be tomorrow at Pekin High School with action starting at 4:30.
