The Winfield-Mt. Union boys and girls track and field teams travel south to Danville Thursday for the Danville Relays.

Both the WMU boys and girls were in action earlier this week at the Falcon Relays at West Burlington High School. The WMU boys finished third in the small school division with five event titles on the night. Brandon Snowden won the 100, Dane Sweezer the 110 hurdles, Juanito Piper the 400 hurdles, Noah Sparrow the 1600 and the Wolves sprint medley team of Christian Gerot, Dawson Bergthold, Snowden and Piper were also champions.

The Winfield-Mt. Union girls were fourth in the small school division at West Burlington. The Wolves were led by second place finishes for Jobey Malone in the discus, Jami Wilkerson in the 100 and the 4×100 team also finished as runners-up.

Joining the Wolves at Danville will be Louisa-Muscatine, New London, Wapello and the Bears. Action begins at 4p.m. and continues into the evening at Danville High School.
