The Highland Huskies scored their first win of the soccer season Thursday, topping the Washington Demons by a 3-2 score in Riverside.
Each of the two teams found the back of the net in the first half, leaving the match even at one going to the break. In the second half the teams traded goals in the first 20 minutes but the Huskies would tally the winner in the 65th minute. In the victory, Owen Donovan scored twice and Ramses Vergara had the game winner. Washington’s goals came from Fabian DeJesus and David Rees.
