A stolen gun was recovered during a traffic stop in Washington. According to the Washington County Communications Office, just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, law enforcement attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Joshua Holmes of Wayland. After attempting to flee, Holmes pulled the vehicle over in the 1700 block of Larch Avenue. Authorities searched his vehicle and found a stolen gun. Holmes was charged with driving while barred, no proof of insurance, fraudulent use of registration, serious eluding, felony or other in possession of firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of a weapon, and speeding. Holmes was taken to the Washington County Jail.
