The Washington girls’ track team traveled to Fort Madison on Tuesday night and finished 12thout of 14 teams in the Pen City Relays.
The Demons tallied 41 points while Mount Pleasant won the team title with 145. Ashley Telleen was the headliner placing second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:15.43. Washington found some success in the relay events placing third in the 4x100m (53.29), third in the distance medley (4:58.54), fourth in the 4x200m (1:53.51), and fourth in the 4x400m (4:46.59). Other top finishes included Kelsey Pacha fourth in the high jump (4’10’’) and sixth in the 100m (13.30) while Leah Marek was sixth in the 200m dash (29.16).
The Demons get back on the track tomorrow at Eddyville-Blakesburg.
