creative-poetry-workshop

National Poetry Month is being celebrated at the Washington Public Library. A creative poetry workshop is being held Monday at 6:30 p.m. A variety of forms will be explored. Children fifth grade and up through adults are welcome to check out blackout poetry, poem in your pocket, and paint chip poetry. Also, a poetry game called Exquisite Corpse, similar to mad libs, will be played. National Poetry Month is held each April to highlight American poets, encourage the reading of poems, assist teachers in bringing poetry to students, and encourage support for poets and poetry.
