Hills received a six-figure grant to help with a building remodeling project. The Iowa Economic Development Authority awarded the city $100,000 to renovate the Old 218 building in downtown Hills. The grant is part of the IEDA’s Catalyst Grant which handed out $2.9 million to 29 communities to improve downtown areas across the Hawkeye State. The grant will cover more than half of the total cost of the $140,000 project.
