The WACO boys’ track team welcomes area schools of Lone Tree, Sigourney, and Winfield-Mt. Union tonight for a meet.
The Warriors, Wolves, and Lions were all last in action Thursday at Mount Pleasant. WMU’s Brandon Snowden helped the team to an 11thplace finish out of 22 teams after placing first in the 100m and 200m dash. The senior also anchored the winning 4x100m relay team. Colton Horak led the Warriors with a title in the 110m hurdles and Lone Tree’s Alberto Cortes was third in the 800m run. Sigourney was last on the track on Tuesday and Mason Moore continued to dominant the distance events placing first in the 3200m and second in the 1600m.
Other teams competing tonight are Alia, Cardinal, Central Lee, Danville, Louisa-Muscatine, Van Buren, Wapello, and West Burlington Notre Dame.
The events get underway at 4:30 p.m. this evening in WACO.
