A single-vehicle rollover wreck in Henry County has taken a tragic turn.

The Thursday wreck happened on Highway 218 near the Highway 34 interchange in Mt. Pleasant. The vehicle driven by 53-year-old David William Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska left the roadway, became airborne, and landed on the train tracks under the highway overpass. William Jr. was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. According to the Iowa State Patrol, William Jr. did not survive.
