Three KCII area boys golf teams were in action Tuesday when Mid-Prairie, Winfield-Mt. Union and Columbus competed at the 18-hole Durant Invitational at the Wahkonsa Golf and Country Club.

West Branch won the 10 team tournament with an overall score of 317. The Golden Hawks posted the best area finish with a 334 team score to take third, just one stroke behind Wilton for second. The Golden Hawks were led by Noah Schlabaugh and his round of 77, taking third overall. Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Ryan Smit and Monte Slabaugh with 84s, Chaz Patterson at 89, Kayden Reinier 94 and Abe Bender 103.

Winfield-Mt. Union was fifth with a 339. The Wolves were led by Jarod Kadel and his 77, tying for third place overall. Other scores for WMU included Nolan Ross 79, Graham Hagge 89, Jacob Kongable 101 and Brady Loyd and Noah Freeman with 102s.

Columbus was eighth with a team score of 393. The Wildcats were led by Evan Reese with his round of 87. Other scores for Columbus included Tucker Bright 88, Gustavo Anaya 101 and Robert Coil 121.
