The warm weather may have the lake or river calling your name, and if you’re taking a boat be sure it’s registered. All boats registered with the Washington County Recorder’s office require renewal by the end of the month. Any renewals after April 30th will have a $5 late penalty. Any new registrations will be valid for three years. The fees for boat registrations are based on the length of the boat. The fees are regulated by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
