
An arrest has been made stemming from a 2016 New London robbery. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, in December of 2016 law enforcement responded to a robbery in progress in the 2600 block of Quincy Avenue, south of New London. The offenders fled the scene before authorities arrived. There was over $1,000 worth of property taken. Earlier this month authorities made an arrest pertaining to the case. Twenty-four-year-old Abigail Noel of Trenton was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree theft, all of which are class C felonies. Noel is currently in custody at the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, New London Police Department, Department of Corrections, DCI Crime Lab, and members of the community.
