A man was rescued from a corn bin near Winfield Tuesday morning. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at 8:58 a.m. a 911 call came in for a man stuck in a bin in the 2600 grid of 120th Street. As a precaution, Mt. Pleasant Fire and Rescue was dispatched with their aerial tower and a MedForce helicopter was requested. Also responding were Winfield Fire Rescue, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and the Henry County Ambulance Service. Winfield Fire Rescue was able to remove the man from the corn. He climbed out of the bin with assistance. No injuries were reported. The name of the man was not released.
