A man wanted on cocaine and methamphetamine charges in Washington County was found in Iowa City. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, Johnson County officials located 34-year-old Ryan Lynn Lippard of North Liberty in the 4500 block of Melrose Avenue. Lippard was arrested on a bench warrant after a probation violation. He was also wanted for two counts of possession of a controlled substance – cocaine and methamphetamine, also for possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $10,300 cash only.

The charges originated November 7th, when Lippard was arrested for arson in the second degree after a trailer fire was extinguished in rural Riverside. In January he plead guilty to arson in the third degree, and had to submit a DNA sample, pay a fine, a two year prison sentence was suspended, and he has one year of probation. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail.
