The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls golf team continued their strong stretch of play Wednesday, winning a River Valley Conference quadrangular over Wilton, West Branch and West Liberty at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside.

The Golden Hawks fired a meet best 203, topping Wilton’s 211, West Branch at 221 and West Liberty at 228. Mid-Prairie was led on the day by Abby Statler and Emma Mattes who finished with matching 49s. Mattes took medalist honors on a cardback. They spoke after the meet about their round, Mattes said “It felt like putting went well today, I had a big 30 foot par putt I was able to make.” Statler added “My driving was good today, the course was a little wet.”

Other scores for Mid-Prairie included Georgia Nisly at 51, Abbi Patterson 54, Kendra Schaefer 63, Amerah Rediger 65 and Madelyn Bender 67.
