After suffering a shut out at the hands of No. 2 Iowa City Regina on Thursday, the No. 5 Iowa Mennonite School boys soccer team returned the favor in Donnellson, shutting out Central Lee 2-0.

Both teams used the first half to feel each other out, and their new surroundings, playing in the bubble at the Burlington Rec-Plex, leaving the match scoreless at the half. In the 46th minute IMS broke through on a give-and-go from Brian Maren to Louis Etienne who buried the shot. Within a minute, IMS was threatening again after intercepting the kickoff and Etienne was fouled in the box. He drove home the PK to double the IMS lead and that was enough for the Iowa Mennonite defense and Blake Bontrager who turned in a clean sheet in goal. With the victory, IMS is now 7-2 as they host West Liberty Monday.
