The Washington Summer Classic is 4 Fun-filled days celebrating Washington and is a great way to get out and kick off Summer! This year the events start on Thursday, May, 30th and run through Sunday, June 2nd! With a so much going on, there’s sure to be several things to bring a smile to each family member’s face from the young ones all the way up to Grandma and Grandpa! So get the family together and make some memories!

June 1, 2019: Ridiculous Day
Let’s get RIDICULOUS! Please join for the State’s longest running Ridiculous Day, as we celebrate our 72nd year. Day attractions include retail bargains, day flea market, family games, ducks in the fountain, the Annual Ridiculous Day Parade, food vendors, and more. We invite all Washington Businesses and vendors to join us for the Day Flea Market. Spaces are limited. First come basis. Registration closes April 10, 2019.
9am-3pm: Washington Area Amateur Radio Club Information & Activity Booth
9am: Businesses open with Ridiculous Day Bargains & Sidewalk Sales
9am: Ridiculous Book Sale at the Library
9am: State Theater Tour with Mike Zahs
10am: Special Showing of Saving Brinton immediately following theater tour. Tickets available for $5 at the State Theater.
9:30am: Registration at Dodici’s for Ridiculous Superhero and Princess Contest. Participants can join the parade.
10am-2pm: Bounce House sponsored by WCHC
10am-1pm: Photo Booth provided by Washington State Bank (weather permitting)
10am: Optimist Club Bike Auction on the SE side of Central Park. Bikes displayed at 8am.
10am: Ridiculous Princess Contest
10:30am: Ridiculous Superhero Contest
11am: Lunch Begins. Enjoy Food Vendors!
Noon: 1000 Ducks in the Fountain!
1pm: Ridiculous Day Parade! Parade Line-up at 12noon. Parade Winners announced at the Bandstand immediately following the parade. NEW TIME!
Look for FREE Bomb Pops on the square provided by Hy-Vee!
