The Mid-Prairie boys soccer team has their second-to-last regular season tune-up Friday when they host the class 2A Keokuk Chiefs at the Mid-Prairie soccer complex in Wellman.

Mid-Prairie comes into the match with an overall record of 7-3 after back-to-back wins over Cedar Valley Christian and Wapello by a combined 14-1 score. On the season, Mid-Prairie is led by Aaron Slaubaugh with nine goals. Camden Marner, Ethan Trimpe and Byron Yoder all have three assists. In goal, Dominic Pickard has stopped 21 of 29 shots for a 72% save percentage.

Keokuk comes into the match with a 1-12 overall record with their lone win coming against Centerville 5-3 at the end of April. On the season the Chiefs are led by Jamin Klose with 10 goals. Josh Wills, Jordan Granera and Jesse Nuno all have two assists. In goal Cameron Muston has 83 saves on 157 shots for a 53% save percentage. These two teams met a year ago with Mid-Prairie taking a 4-2 win. Action begins tonight at 6:30 in Wellman.
