More students will be attending the Washington district in the 2019-20 school year.
At the most recent meeting of the Washington Community District School board it was decided to add an extra segment of preschool to the district because of demand. School Board President Eric Turner spoke about the change. “The new facility for preschool and childcare at Stewart has driven demand. We have a need to increase to another section. This is a positive thing to get these students into the district and get them prepared for Kindergarten.”
The new section will be housed in the new preschool and child care facility at Stewart Elementary.
