A man was arrested after allegedly confining his wife in a bathroom in Keokuk County. According to court records, 28-year-old Harold Chittick of Ollie assaulted his wife by striking her in the chest, arms, and head. Chittick forced the victim in the bathroom where he struck her with the butt of a handgun and wouldn’t let her leave.

Chittick was arrested on April 29th and charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, domestic abuse assault impeding air or blood flow, two counts of child endangerment, domestic abuse assault resulting in injury, and false imprisonment. A no contact order has been issued between Chittick and the victim.

He will appear in court for his arraignment on May 24th. Chittick is currently being held at the Keokuk County Jail on $10,000 cash only bond.
