Iowa Mennonite School senior Suzanna Yoder will step into a familiar spotlight Thursday at the state track meet in Des Moines.
Yoder is the lone IMS athlete competing on the blue oval Thursday and she is doing it in three separate events, the 100 and 200m prelims and the 400m finals. She’s no stranger to the pressure at Drake Stadium, having competed in last year’s 400m race. This year, Yoder is seeded seventh in heat one of the 100, seventh in heat three of the 200, and first in heat three of the 400. You can hear live updates from the 2019 state track meet in Des Moines every hour on AM and FM KCII and online at KCIIradio.com.
