Warm water therapy is now available in the City of Washington. The United Presbyterian Home has a warm water therapy pool that has been open since January of 2018 and it’s expanding its offerings this summer. Adults age 55 and greater are able to enroll in group fitness or individual exercise classes, including aqua aerobics. The 12-foot by 20-foot pool has a water temperature of about 91 degrees. The UP Home offers aquatic therapy which has less pressure on joints than land-based exercise. Aqua aerobics are offered, as well as individual exercise times to work on cardio, strength, flexibility, balance and weight loss. Contact the UP Home to sign up or for a tour of the facility.
