The postseason has arrived for the Washington boys’ soccer team, as they travel to North Liberty to face Fort Madison in a class 2A sub-state game.
The Bloodhounds had the upper hand in the first two meetings but won by close 4-2 and 2-0 margins. The Demons are 3-11 on the season and led by Ben Baughman and his Southeast Conference leading 164 saves on the year. Baughman will have his hands full with the Bloodhounds’ Austin Sexton and his 17 goals in 2019. Fort Madison is 9-8 on the season.
The playoffs get started at 5 p.m. today at Iowa City Liberty High School.
