Ag Day, Family Day, Ridiculous Day, and a Latino Festival are coming to Washington this week as part of the Summer Classic. Join the KCII Big Red Radio in downtown Washington for the four-day celebration. Thursday’s Ag Day will feature an antique tractor parade, displays around the square, and the Washington Farmers’ Market. Washington Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator Alisha Davis says Friday’s Family Day will have most of the events in the evening since school is still in session, “We’re going to have pony rides. We’re doing a new touch a truck this year where kids can get in and explore fire trucks, police cars, construction equipment, tractors, so that will be a really fun thing. I know my son is super excited to get in a fire truck, like every time we go by the fire station he lights up, because he wants to see those fire trucks.”
Ridiculous Day on Saturday will have big sales in downtown Washington, ducks in the fountain and a parade at 1 p.m. It’ll be followed by Flightline Live at the airport with a concert. And everything wraps up Sunday with the Latino Festival with live music, a variety of Latino food, and family activities in Central Park.
