It’s the No. 16 ranked Iowa Mennonite School soccer team who will be going to Des Moines after earning their second straight substate title Saturday at Spartan Stadium in Solon over No. 7 Solon by a 1-0 score.

The IMS defense was terrific all day, but was forced to be on point early, on the road, with the wind against them, they stood up to the challenge and held the game scoreless going into the half. In the second half, IMS broke through in the 70th minute when Jacob Boller got a ball at the top of the box, realized the Spartan keeper, Ian Johnson, was off his line, and lightly chipped the ball over his head and into the back of the net. The IMS defense dug in over the final 10 minutes and made that tally stand up. In their second straight trip to state, they will meet Sioux Center.
