The Winfield-Mt. Union softball team continued their red-hot start to 2019 on Friday night when they blanked Columbus Community 10-0 in five innings.
Madie Anderson had another gem in the circle throwing all five innings, giving up just one hit, one walk, and she struck out 12. The sophomore now has 53 strikeouts to start the season that ranks second in class 1A. Keetyn Townsley was 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored.
The Wolves improve to 3-1 and the Wildcats drop to 1-5.
