The Mid-Prairie Baseball team swept away visiting Tipton Monday in Wellman, taking an RVC doubleheader over the Tigers 5-1 and 7-6. In game one the Golden Hawks were led by Cale Robertson with a pair of hits and Chris Miller, Aidan Rath and Keegan Gingerich each had an RBI. The Hawks scored one in each of the second, third and fourth innings to go with a pair in the fifth. Ashton Bush got the win, going five innings and striking out eight.
In game two, Mid-Prairie built a 5-0 lead before the Tigers came storming back and the Golden Hawks were able to hold them off. Rath led Mid-Prairie at the plate with a pair of RBI. Brad Tornow collected the win for Mid-Prairie going five innings and striking out seven. The Golden Hawks are now 5-3 on the year.
