The Iowa Mennonite School baseball team will be on the diamond for the third straight day this week when they travel to West Burlington for a cross-divisional Superconference game against the Falcons. IMS enters play 2-0 on the year and the week with wins over Wapello and Winfield-Mt. Union. Through their first two games they are hitting .280, led by Blake Bontrager and Cody Jones each hitting 1.000. Noah Miller has a team best three RBI. On the mound, Blake Bontrager and Eli Ours are both 1-0 with a combined 12 innings pitched and 15 strikeouts.
West Burlington is 1-6 on the year. Their only win came against Danville last time out by a 17-9 score. This year the Falcons are hitting .259 led by Hayden Vandenberg at .412. Dreyton LaVeine has an 0-2 record but an ERA of just 0.88 in eight innings of work. These two teams met a year ago with IMS collecting a 10-0 win.
