sigourney-3

The Sigourney softball team bounced back from two straight losses to seize area bragging rights over Keota winning Tuesday night 13-2 in five innings.

A patient Savage offense had little trouble scoring, as they plated two runs in the first inning, four in the second, five in the third, and two more in the fourth to capture the mercy-rule win. Sigourney tallied 14 walks and six hits on the evening led by Madelynn Hornback going 2-for-2 with two RBI and three runs scored. The freshman went four innings in the circle giving up two runs and three hits while striking out seven.

Sigourney improves to 7-3 and travels to BGM tonight while Keota is 0-6 and face Lynnville-Sully this evening.
