A man originally charged with assault in Washington County was arrested in Johnson County early Friday. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 4:03 a.m. Friday authorities in Iowa City arrested 37-year-old Esau Rios of West Liberty. He was wanted out of Washington County on two warrants for probation violation on the original charges of assault causing bodily injury, trespassing, and assault on a peace officer or certain occupations. Bond is $6,250. He is also wanted out of Johnson County and will be held there with a detainer for Washington County.
