Falling in six of their last seven contests, the Sigourney softball team utilized a strong pitching performance from Jordan VanEe and 11 hits offensively to get off the schneid in a 7-0 win over English Valleys.
VanEe was cruising along all night en route to a complete game shutout giving up just two hits, one walk, and striking out seven. The Savages scored twice in the third, three in the fifth, and two more in the sixth to break open the game. VanEe and Madelynn Hornback each had a pair of hits and two RBI to lead an offense where everyone reached base safely.
Sigourney improves to 12-9 and they host Tri-County tomorrow.
