Washington County and southeast Iowa have an increased risk of storms this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, heavy rain is expected Friday and Saturday. There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms Friday. The slight category means that scattered isolated severe storms are possible. Nearly three inches of rain is expected in Washington on Friday and Saturday combined.
