A man has been charged with burglary after an incident in Brighton last week.
According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 7:40 a.m. June 28th law enforcement responded to a call in the 100 block of West Main Street in Brighton. The caller reported a man was in her enclosed front porch trying on her grandson’s shoes. Later that morning, 35-year-old Christopher John Morrison, Sr., of West Branch was arrested for a previous charge of failure to appear for pretrial conference for a fourth-degree theft charge. Tuesday afternoon Morrison was picked up on a warrant for burglary in the third degree and theft in the fifth degree from the incident in Brighton.
He was taken to the Washington County Jail on $5,300 cash only bond.
