A big fifth inning for the Durant baseball team was the difference on Friday night defeating Lone Tree 14-6.
The game was tied at 4-4 through three frames when the Wildcats put up a nine spot in the fifth en route to the victory. They tallied 14 hits against Lion pitching, as Avery Knock took the loss giving up five earned runs in two innings. Lone Tree had six hits led by Harmon Miller with two RBI including a home run.
Lone Tree drops to 11-10 and they close out the regular season today traveling to West Liberty.
