The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk pitching staff had a tremendous season, helping them to 18 wins, their largest total in seven years. One reason they were so effective was piling up strikeouts. The Hawks were sixth in class 2A with 248 Ks as a staff in just 197 innings thrown. Mid-Prairie was led by junior Brad Tornow and his 102 strikeouts in just 55 innings. That total led the River Valley Conference and was third in the state to go along with his perfect 7-0 record. Others helping to add to the total were Keegan Gingerich with 48, Ashton Bush with 28, Kayden Reinier at 25, Aidan Rath with 16 and Brayden Gingerich with 10. Mid-Prairie finished with an 18-12 overall record.
