There is a phone scammer in the area impersonating Henry County Sheriff’s deputies.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, people have received calls from someone claiming to be a Henry County Deputy and trying to solicit personal information. The caller I.D. shows the real number to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and they’ve been using the names of actual deputies. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind you that if they do need any information from you, a deputy will drive to your residence and ask for it in person. If you receive a suspicious call from anyone trying to extract personal information, hang up and contact law enforcement right away.
