A juvenile skateboarder was hit by a truck in Mt. Pleasant Thursday.

According to the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, just after 2 p.m. Thursday officers responded to the intersection of South Adams Street and East Washington Street. A collision had happened with  a motor vehicle and a skateboarder. It was determined that the skateboarder was riding through the Fast Break parking lot and attempted to cross South Adams Street with a do not cross signal showing. A truck was traveling southbound on East Washington Street when he struck the juvenile. The Henry County Ambulance responded to the scene, but the juvenile declined treatment. Since the truck had the right of way, there were no citations issued. The names of those involved were not released.
