Washington County 4-Hers received top awards at the Iowa State Fair for exhibits and communications projects. An Iowa Department of Ag and Land Stewardship Award was presented to David Hora in the crop production category for his work titled Capturing Carbon.

In photography, Owen Ross’s photo of a rainbow and lightning was given a PPI Gallery Award, and Madison Fishback had a PPI photo Gallery Considered.

Excellence awards were presented in communications for educational presentations to Grace Conway for knife knowledge, Gracie Greiner for antibiotic use in swine production, and Hannah Rodgers for a presentation on black holes.
