At the most recent meeting of the Mid-Prairie School board, Jeremy Gugel was appointed to fill a vacant seat. The position was available following the resignation of Emily Uhl in July. She left the post after serving for just over a year, having been appointed to fill a vacancy that arose when George Schaefer resigned in June of 2018. Uhl won a special election against Randy Billups in September. Others interested in the seat included Angela Lamb and Billups. Gugel will serve the remainder of Uhl’s term, which ends in November of this year, and plans to run for election at that time.
