Washington County 4-H members claimed many first place awards at the Iowa State Fair. Zoey Dennler was the champion in miniature horse showmanship and she had the champion mini horse halter. The reserve grand champion market heifer belongs to Ryland Shalla. And Avery Shalla had the third overall crossbred steer. The reserve grand champion meat goat was shown by Taylor Brinning and she had the fourth place overall market meat goat. Garrett Greiner showed the champion white face influence market lamb and he was named the champion in junior sheep showmanship.

In the swine division, the heavyweight reserve champion commercial breeding gilt was shown by Rylee Libe. Leah Marek had the reserve champion spotted market hog and Taylor Brinning had the reserve champion in both Yorkshire market hog and lightweight market barrow.
