This summer the Innovative Software Engineering (ISE) Company challenged local youth to learn about coding and build their own app. Local students gave their final presentations in August. Mid-Prairie sophomore Connor Jennings won third place in the introductory contest with his Breadtective app. The app functions as a choose-your-own-adventure-book. He created the storyline and graphics. He was the winner of a $50 prize. The free summer program for high school students is sponsored by the University of Iowa Electrical and Computer Engineering Departments and the Iowa City Area Development.
