It’s an area volleyball rivalry tonight in Wellman, as Mid-Prairie welcomes Washington to town for their yearly meeting.

The Golden Hawks are coming off of a 7-23 campaign last year and started the new season on Monday sweeping a tournament in Keota. Myah Lugar returns after leading the team with 101 kills in 2018 and Abbi Patterson had 270 digs. Nine seniors make up the Washington roster looking to improve off of an 11-19 season. Addison Six is back after 154 kills and Alexa Mitchell returns as the setter with 330 assists. The Golden Hawks have had the Demons’ number as of late winning a best of five set match every year since 2012.

First serve is set for 7:30 p.m. this evening in Wellman.
